Band handbook, survival guide, and forms

Please go over the following items with your kids as we move into band camp.  They are as follows:

2014 Band Handbook – This must be read in detail.  A page is in the ‘forms packet’ to sign agreeing both student and parent have read it.  Please have this turned in by the second week of school as the student’s first grade.

Band Camp Survival Guide – Targeted for new members of the band, this is some extra information to help you prepare for a great time at band camp.

2014 Forms Packet – This is the same as emailed last week.  Some people were saying they did not get the forms, so please start working on these if you haven’t.  here are deadlines for each form.

Medical Authorization – this requires a notary!  Please have it turned in by August 8th.

Marching Shoe/T-Shirt Order Form – Due August 8th with payment.  Otherwise you may have to order yourself.

Instrument Rental Agreement – This will be done during camp.  If you already have a summer instrument you would like to check out for the year, you can fill it out ahead of time.

Handbook Receipt – Due when school starts.  If not in by September 1st, students will miss their first grade.

IMPORTANT!!!  Please note the “Family & Friends Night” on August 15th has changed.  This was different on the schedule in the “Forms Packet” from last week.  It now starts later than originally planned.  The camp on this day will go till 5:45pm.  Parents are invited to come at that time to enjoy our performance, which will immediately be followed by a dinner in the cafeteria.  The event will end around 8:00pm.

Booster Organization

The Atlantic Band Booster Association is the support organization for the band program. All parents of band members are automatically members. We have a lot of fun working hard to support our students. The current fundraising activities are covered below.
