First Band Booster Meeting of Year!
The first band booster meeting of the school year will be Tuesday, August 19th @ 7:00 pm in the Band Room.
Attention Band Parents!
The following are three (3) documents needing to be reviewed with your kids, signed and returned as we move into band camp.
2014 Band Handbook - This must be read in detail. A page is in the ‘forms packet’ to sign agreeing both student and parent have read it. Please have this turned in by the second week of school as the student’s first grade.
Band Camp Survival Guide - Targeted for new members of the band, this is some extra information to help you prepare for a great time at band camp.

2014 Forms Packet - This is the same as emailed last week. Some people were saying they did not get the forms, so please start working on these if you haven’t. There are deadlines for each form.
- Medical Authorization - this requires a notary! Please have it turned in by August 8th.
- Marching Shoe/T-Shirt Order Form - Due August 8th with payment. Otherwise you may have to order yourself.
- Instrument Rental Agreement - This will be done during camp. If you already have a summer instrument you would like to check out for the year, you can fill it out ahead of time.
- Handbook Receipt - Due when school starts. If not in by September 1st, students will miss their first grade.
IMPORTANT!!! Please note the “Family & Friends Night” on August 15th has changed. This was different on the schedule in the “Forms Packet” from last week. It now starts later than originally planned. The camp on this day will go till 5:45pm. Parents are invited to come at that time to enjoy our performance, which will immediately be followed by a dinner in the cafeteria. The event will end around 8:00pm.
2014-2015 Football Program Ad Campaign
It’s that time of year again! Parents and Band Students are encouraged to reach out to local businesses to help sell ads for the 2014-15 Football Program. This is a great way for Band Students to reduce their yearly band fees by getting as many businesses to advertise via the Football program.
Remember, “legacy ads” (ads sold last year) belong to either the student that sold them, or in case of seniors – the person the ads were “willed” to. If a legacy ad has not been re-sold prior to July 11th, any student may contact them for the sale.

All ads and monies are due by August 7th. They can be either mailed to Mr. Bowman via ACHS or artwork, etc. may be emailed to Mary Wilkey at firstname.lastname@example.org.

2014 Audition Music Available
The audition music for placement in the 2014-2015 school year concert bands, jazz band, and drumline are now available. Please see the individual band pages using the “Band” main menu. The materials are available at the bottom of each page. Drumline materials are available from the Marching Band page.
