Our Mission

ACHS Music prepares students for college and life by providing mastery through competitive Marching Band, Winter Percussion, and Winter Guard programs along with traditional concert-hall performances.

Our Mission

The American Canyon High School (ACHS) competitive music program is a vital sport and area of study in the ACHS curriculum and ACHS students’ high school experience.  Mr. Brendan Day, (Bachelor of Music, Berklee College of Music), is the program’s Artistic Director, Conductor, and Musical Arts faculty.    The ACHS competitive music program prepares students for college and life by providing mastery through competitive Marching Band, Winter Percussion, and Winter Guard programs along with traditional concert-hall performances.

ACHS Wolfpack Music (EIN #88-4079651) is a 501 c3 non-profit parent-led support organization that brings current parents, alumni, alumni parents, service organizations, and businesses together to provide curriculum, community outreach, logistics, and financial support to cover what the school district does not. Alumni and current parents, through this non-profit, advocate for our children with the school district and board of education.

Our key stakeholders are our high school athletes / musicians / color guard grades 9 through 12. Additional stakeholders include current parents, alumni parents, our community partners – supporting businesses, non-profit organizations, and American Canyon residents.

The competitive program fields marching band, percussion, and color guard teams.  It includes four competitions per year for each team: Marching Band and Color Guard in the first semester, and Winter Percussion and Winter Guard the second semester. The Northern California Band Association is our Fall League, and the Northern California Percussion Association is our Winter League.
